Why this role exists
The groundwork for inbound is live: programmatic pages across 500+ document types, an llms.txt index, an MCP server. What it doesn’t have is someone who owns the funnel and the number.
The number is inbound qualified pipeline. Not traffic, not impressions. Meetings with real buyers that exist because of channels you built, counted when sales accepts them. An engineer builds your tooling. You own everything else.
The charter
Own inbound end to end
Every channel that can bring a lead in is yours to test. SEO, content, landing pages, paid experiments, events — you ship yourself, not through an agency.
Get Talonic cited by AI, not just ranked by Google
GEO, AEO, answer engines. Talonic already has an llms.txt and an MCP server. You extend that signal into every relevant AI assistant and knowledge base.
Test fast, kill what doesn’t produce
One channel that produces beats six that impress. You go deep on what works and stop everything else quickly.
Use AI to do the work of a team
Research, production, distribution, analysis. You build systems with AI — you don’t just use it.
Report inbound qualified pipeline, not vanity metrics
Every channel has a number next to it, and you can defend both. Traffic without meetings doesn’t count.
The scorecard
Qualified meetings arrive every month from channels you built
Not one-off spikes. A repeatable inbound motion that runs as a system, not a heroic effort.
Every channel has a number next to it, and you can defend both
One channel scaled deep, not six touched shallow. You know what each channel costs and what it produces.
The funnel runs as a system, not a heroic effort
You’ve built something that keeps working without you having to touch every piece every week.
