Questions about AR Aging Report Extractor.

What does the AR aging report extractor read?

The report number and the as-of date, the reporting period start and end, the company name, the currency, the total outstanding receivables balance, the standard payment terms, the preparer name and contact, and the approval status.

How is an AR aging report different from an AP aging report?

Direction. An accounts receivable (AR) aging report tracks money owed TO the company by its customers, whereas an accounts payable (AP) aging report tracks money the company owes to its vendors. The two are mirror documents. For payables use the AP aging report extractor.

Are the customer invoices returned as a table?

Yes. The aging details table returns one row per invoice with the customer number and name, invoice number and date, due date, invoice amount, paid amount, outstanding balance, days outstanding, and aging bucket, so the whole receivables ledger comes back as rows.

How are the aging buckets summarized?

The aging bucket (enum, such as Current, 30-60, 60-90, or 90+) comes back per invoice, the aging summary by bucket table returns each bucket with its invoice count, total outstanding, and percentage of total, and a customer balances table returns each customer with its per-bucket amounts.

Which per-invoice fields come out, and what are the file limits?

The invoice amount, outstanding balance, paid amount, days outstanding, and any notes each come back per invoice. PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages; processed via the Talonic API for extraction only and not retained.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See invoice data extraction if you run this for finance and AP teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
