Questions about Balance Sheet Extractor.

Which balance sheet items are captured?

Headline totals (total assets, current and noncurrent assets, total liabilities, stockholders equity, total liabilities and equity) plus the common detail lines: cash and equivalents, accounts receivable, inventory, PP&E, goodwill, intangibles, accounts payable, short and long term debt, retained earnings, and treasury stock.

Does it keep comparative periods?

Yes. The assets and liabilities tables carry both current period and prior period amounts per line item, so year-over-year statements stay intact.

Does it follow a reporting standard?

The field set is modeled on US-GAAP and IFRS taxonomy concepts, so statements prepared under either framework map to the same columns, including entity name, reporting date, fiscal year, and currency.

Will scanned balance sheets work?

Yes, scanned and digitally created PDFs both work, up to 10MB and 100 pages.

Where does my financial statement go?

Through the Talonic API for extraction only. It is not retained for training and is not shared.

What output formats do I get?

CSV, XLSX, or JSON, with each statement section available as its own table.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See invoice data extraction if you run this for finance and AP teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
