Questions about Purchase Order Extractor.

Which fields does the purchase order extractor pick up?

The PO number and order date, buyer and supplier names with addresses and contact persons, ship-to and ship-from addresses, requested delivery date, incoterms, currency, subtotal, tax amount, order total, payment terms, and any contract or order references, plus the full line-item table.

Does it capture line items or just the header?

Both. Each order line comes back as its own row: line number, item code or SKU, description, quantity, unit of measure, unit price, line total, and any line-level requested delivery date.

Can I use it on purchase orders from different ERP systems?

Yes. The extraction reads content rather than layout, so POs exported from SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Coupa, or a plain Word template all work. Labels like "Order No." or "Bestellnummer" map to the same output columns.

What are the file limits?

PDF files only, up to 10MB and 100 pages per upload.

What happens to my purchase order after processing?

The file is sent to the Talonic API for extraction and the contents are not retained for training. Nothing is written to browser storage either.

In which formats can I download the results?

CSV, XLSX (Excel), or raw JSON, including the line-item table.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See document data extraction if you run this for freight and customs teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
