Questions about Quotation and Proposal Extractor.

What does the quotation extractor read?

The quote number and date, the valid until date, the supplier name, address, and contact person, and the buyer name and address, plus the RFQ reference that ties the quote back to the request it answers.

Are the priced line items captured?

Yes. The line items table returns line number, item code, description, quantity, unit of measure, unit price, line total, and any requested delivery date, so a multi-line quote comes back as rows ready to compare.

Which commercial terms come out?

The subtotal, tax amount, and total in the quote currency, along with payment terms, incoterms, and the offered delivery date.

Why does the validity date matter here?

The valid until date is extracted as its own field because a quotation is only binding until it lapses. Having it as data makes it easy to flag quotes that are about to expire before you convert them to orders.

What are the file limits and is the quote kept?

PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages. The document runs through the Talonic API for extraction and is not retained for training or shared.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See document data extraction if you run this for freight and customs teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
