Questions about Tax Clearance Certificate Extractor.

How is a tax clearance certificate different from an assessment or a return?

A clearance certificate is the authority's proof that a taxpayer is up to date — that taxes are paid and there are no outstanding obligations — usually required for a tender, government bid, or transaction. The extractor reads the compliance status (compliant, non-compliant, or conditional), the outstanding-liabilities boolean, the total tax amount owed (zero when fully cleared), and the tax types covered.

Which identifiers and issuing details come out?

The certificate number, issue date, the taxpayer name, tax ID, and address, the issuing authority and issuing country, and the tax year or period covered. When the taxpayer is a subsidiary, the parent entity name and tax ID are captured too.

Does it capture the validity window and the purposes the clearance is valid for?

Yes. The expiration date, the validity period in months, and the purposes authorized (for example government bidding, a specific transaction, or license renewal) each come back, along with any conditions or remarks noted on the certificate.

What signatory and verification fields are read?

The authorized signatory name and title, the signature date, whether a digital or electronic signature (such as a QR code) is present, and any document URL pointing to the government portal where the certificate can be verified.

What are the file limits and privacy terms?

PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages. The certificate is processed via the Talonic API for extraction only, is not retained for training, and is not shared. Export as CSV, XLSX, or JSON.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See document data extraction if you run this for risk and compliance teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
