Questions about Waybill and CMR Extractor.

Which parties and vehicle details does the waybill extractor read?

The consignor (shipper) and consignee with their addresses, the notify party, and the carrier name with the vehicle registration or license plate number, plus the booking reference the consignment moves under.

Does it read the CMR road-transport fields?

Yes. The pickup date, delivery date, place of receipt, place of delivery, and incoterms are each read, and because the field labels cover German, French, and Spanish equivalents (Frachtbrief, Lettre de voiture, Carta de porte), a CMR consignment note in any of those languages maps to the same columns.

Are the goods returned line by line?

The line items table returns each cargo line with its description, marks and numbers, number and kind of packages, package type, gross mass, measurement, and commodity code, so a multi-line consignment comes back as rows.

How are weights and charges captured?

The total weight and total volume come back as fields, the freight and charges field records the transport cost with its currency, and a charges table breaks the bill down by charge type and amount, alongside the container, seal, and voyage details.

What are the file limits and privacy terms?

PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages. The waybill is processed via the Talonic API for extraction, is not retained for training, and is not shared.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See document data extraction if you run this for freight and customs teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
