Questions about Withholding Tax Certificate Extractor.

What does a withholding tax certificate record, versus other tax documents?

It certifies tax that was withheld at source from a payment — the payer deducts tax before paying the recipient and remits it to the authority. The extractor reads the payer name, tax ID, and address, the recipient name, tax ID, and address, and the income type (employment, contractor, dividend, interest, royalty).

Which monetary fields come out?

The gross amount before withholding, the amount withheld and remitted, the withholding rate percentage, and the net amount paid to the recipient, plus the canonical total amount and tax amount fields and the currency (ISO 4217).

Does it break out income and withholding line by line?

Yes. An income details table returns each income type with its gross amount, withholding rate, withheld amount, and net amount, and a withholding summary table aggregates by category with total gross, total withheld, total net, and the effective rate.

What period and certification metadata is captured?

The certificate number, issue date, tax year, the withholding period (monthly, quarterly, annual), the certification date, the effective and expiration dates, the issuing authority, and the governing law under which the withholding is calculated.

What are the file limits and privacy terms?

PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages. Processed via the Talonic API for extraction only, not retained for training, and not shared. Fields and tables export as CSV, XLSX, or JSON.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See document data extraction if you run this for risk and compliance teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
