Questions about Cash Flow Statement Extractor.

Which cash flow figures does the extractor read?

The net cash from operating, investing, and financing activities, the net change in cash, the beginning and ending cash balances, and cash and cash equivalents, plus the reconciling items depreciation and amortization, stock-based compensation, capital expenditures, and dividends paid.

How are the activity sections returned?

As tables. The operating, investing, and financing activities each come back with one row per line item and its current and prior period amounts, and for indirect-method statements a separate reconciliation table lists the adjustments from net income to operating cash flow.

Does it tell direct and indirect method statements apart?

Yes. The cash flow method field records whether the statement lists individual inflows and outflows (direct) or reconciles net income to operating cash (indirect), and each line carries an activity type of operating, investing, or financing.

Are comparative periods kept?

The current period and prior period amounts are captured per line, along with a year-to-date figure, so a comparative or interim statement stays intact.

Does it work for GAAP and IFRS statements, and what are the limits?

The field set follows US-GAAP and IFRS taxonomy concepts, so statements under either framework map to the same columns, including entity name, fiscal year and period, reporting dates, and currency. PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages, not retained after extraction.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.
