Questions about Certificate of Origin Extractor.

What does the certificate of origin extractor capture?

The certificate number and date, the exporter with its identification number, the consignee with the importer identification number, and the country of origin, country of preferential origin, and country of destination.

Are the goods listed as a table?

Yes. The commodities table returns each item with its commodity code, description, origin criterion, quantity and unit, net mass, item price, and the preference claimed, so a multi-item certificate comes back as rows.

Does it read the issuing authority details?

The issuing authority name and country, the authentication date, and the certification scheme are captured, along with the declaration statement and the preference on the certificate.

Which movement and packaging fields come out?

Country of dispatch or export, incoterms, the location of goods, type of packages and number of packages, valuation method, and any supporting documents referenced on the certificate.

What are the file limits and where does the file go?

PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages. The certificate is processed via the Talonic API for extraction and is not retained for training or shared.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See PDF to Markdown if you run this for data and platform teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
