Questions about Payslip Extractor.

What does the payslip extractor pull from a pay stub?

The pay period start and end, employee name and ID, employer name, job title, and the headline amounts: gross pay, net pay, and total tax, along with the payment method and any IBAN and BIC on the slip.

How are earnings itemized?

Regular, overtime, bonus, and allowance are read as separate earnings fields, and the earnings breakdown table returns one row per type with its description, hours, rate, and amount.

Does it split out the deductions?

Yes. Income tax, social security, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and other deductions each map to a field, and the deductions breakdown table returns type, description, amount, and percentage per line.

Are year-to-date figures captured?

Year-to-date gross and year-to-date tax come back as fields, and the year-to-date summary table lists each running metric with its amount.

Do payslips from different providers work, and what are the limits?

The extractor reads content rather than layout, so payroll exports and templated slips both parse as long as they are PDF, up to 10MB and 100 pages. The file is not retained after extraction.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See document data extraction if you run this for people and payroll teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
