Questions about Phytosanitary Certificate Extractor.

What does the phytosanitary certificate extractor read?

The certificate number and date, the exporter and its identification number (EORI, VAT, or registration), the consignee and importer identification number, the country of dispatch or export and country of destination, the location of goods (the inspection port), the declared plant products, and the issuing authority (the national plant protection organisation) with the authorized official name.

Are the commodities returned as a table?

Yes. The plant commodities table returns each product with its declared name, scientific (botanical) name, commodity code (Combined Nomenclature or HS), quantity, unit of measurement, net mass, package type, number of packages, and batch number.

Does it capture the phytosanitary status and treatment?

The pest-free status (a boolean certifying the goods are free from regulated pests), the treatment applied (such as fumigation, heat, or chemical), and the inspection date come back as fields, and a phytosanitary treatments table returns each batch number with its treatment applied, inspection date, and commodity code.

Which trade and customs fields come out?

The country of origin, the incoterms, the item price amount, the valuation method, the transport-charges method of payment, the additional declaration type, and the supporting documents. The field labels follow the EU Customs Data Model (EUCDM) data-element catalogue.

What are the file limits and privacy terms?

PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages. The certificate is processed via the Talonic API for extraction, is not retained for training, and is not shared.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See PDF to Markdown if you run this for data and platform teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
