The document number and revision date, the product name and chemical identity with CAS numbers, the manufacturer or supplier name, address, and phone, and the emergency contact, plus the narrative for each of the 16 GHS sections from identification through to other information.
Yes. The signal word (Danger or Warning), the hazard classification, the H-code hazard statements, the P-code precautionary statements, the pictograms, and the physical state are each read as their own field, and a hazard information table pairs each hazard class with its statement and pictogram.
The composition table returns one row per component with its name, concentration or range, and CAS number, and separate tables cover first-aid measures by exposure route, fire-fighting media, accidental release procedures, and handling and storage instructions.
Section 14 transport information (UN number, shipping name, hazard class, packing group), the section 15 regulatory information, and the section 13 disposal method and considerations are all extracted alongside the exposure controls and physical and chemical properties.
The field set mirrors the GHS 16-section structure used by OSHA HazCom, so SDS documents from different manufacturers map to the same sections. PDF only, up to 10MB and 100 pages, and the file is not retained after extraction.
The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.
See PDF to Markdown if you run this for data and platform teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
