Questions about Trial Balance Extractor.

Are the ledger accounts returned as a table?

Yes, that is the main output. The trial balance accounts table returns one row per general ledger account with its account ID, description, account type, opening balance, debit balance, credit balance, and closing balance.

Does it capture the control totals?

The total debits and total credits across all accounts are read as their own fields, along with a balanced indicator that records whether the two sides are in equilibrium, so you can check the trial balance ties out.

How are account balances broken down?

Each account carries its opening balance, closing balance, and the period movement (net change), and the account type classifies it as asset, liability, equity, revenue, or expense.

Which company and preparation details come out?

The company name, company ID, and tax registration number, the reporting period and currency, the accounting software identifier, and the names of who prepared and approved the balance, plus the document number, date, and journal ID.

Which systems and formats does it support?

The extraction reads content rather than layout, so trial balances exported from any accounting system parse once saved as PDF, up to 10MB and 100 pages. Download the accounts table as CSV, XLSX, or JSON.

Doing this to one file, or to ten thousand?

The tool reads a single document. The platform reads the whole estate once and keeps it queryable — the same engine, with a memory.

See invoice data extraction if you run this for finance and AP teams, or the extraction API if you are building it in.
